Wiccan and Pagan Holidays-Know the significance of these days

Wicca is a nature and magic based religion that is taken from the Pagan practices of ancient times . Wicca copies other society beliefs with its own customs, seasonal "holidays" as well as belief system. In Pagans and Wicca, there are several days observed as "holidays" or seasonal rites. Popular activities that people do during the event include costume parties, carving scary lanterns, watching horror flicks or telling scary stories, visiting haunted attractions, ghost tours and trick or treating. The Samhain festival is a celebration being carried out by the end of harvest season in the Gaelic culture. This was also referred to as the Celtic New Year. The historic Celtic pagans used such time to slaughter livestock as well as get stock of supplies to be allotted for winter stores.At the time they believed that during the last day of October the dead was able to present increased danger to the living as they could cause sickness and damage on crops .
