St Patrick's Day 2011 – Celebrate Paddy's Day in a Grand Style
A celebration of Ireland's rich culture, Saint Patrick's Day has become a secular festivity that revolves around anything that is associated with Ireland. It began as a Catholic holiday, where the devotees celebrated the purity, the traditions and the culture of the religion. The 2011 lineup of events will be a fascinating experience for travellers, whether it's simply visiting one of the London bars or indulging in a sightseeing tour.
One of the biggest events guests can participate in is the largest parade in Britain, the London St. Patrick's Day Parade. A festival that brings in a number of people, the street parade covers a long winding route, which is decorated with bright colours of gold and green. Beginning at 12 noon, the entire atmosphere of the bustling street will go through a drastic transformation where dancers and marching bands will crowd the streets.
