Pirate Queen Tickets - a New Musical Journey on Broadway

The Storyline

This is a love story set in Ireland which warms the heart and bring the senses to life. Focusing around O'Malley who takes on many roles such as a mother, a pirate, a chieftain and a love interest, all in the exiting times of the 16th century. Her history is strong as both a historic figure for women as well as for Ireland as she was one of the last to resist the English conquering of Gaelic Ireland. Her strength and resilience comes through very powerfully on the stage and her devotion and will against another strong and fierce woman leader of the time, Queen Elizabeth I of England, creates a conflict which makes this production an amazing experience.

The Credits

The Pirate Queen boast a trio of writers who already are well know names to most who love theater in New York City, Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Richard Malthy, Schonberg and Boublil were the writing team for the unbelievably successful Les Miserables which became a main stay on Broadway with over 6,000 performances and is currently enjoying a revival with a limited run. Moya Doherty and John McClogan are credited with the production of the show and again we have two names which are no strangers to Broadway theater, these two have the same credits for "Riverdance." Stephanie J. Block is the actor who plays the lead role and once again someone with amazing Broadway experience. She garnered critical acclaim for her role as Liza Minneli which was from the show "The Boy From Oz" and this performance was her debut. Ms. Block's most recent role is that of Elphaba in the huge hit musical "Wicked" in which she was part of the tour which traveled and performed around the nation. With a team and lineup like this it is no wonder why many are flocking to purchase The Pirate Queen tickets.
