Baby Products You Need When You Have a Baby
Looking for something useful to give for a first-time mother's baby shower? Here is a list of some of the best baby products that any parent would be delighted to receive in welcoming their child in the baby world:
Baby monitors. Now, this may be one of the more expensive ones on the list, but a baby monitor is obviously very, very important for every baby's safety. While it may not be immediately useful (as the baby would inevitably be spending his or her first few weeks almost inseparably with mom and dad), doubtless it would be good to come in prepared by having it ready and installed in the baby's nursery.
Breast pump. So this may not exactly be for the baby, but this is something that will surely be appreciated by a pregnant mother. Breast pumps come in fairly cheap, too, and they are very convenient to use.
First aid kit. This can actually save parents a lot of trouble from rummaging around the house for the necessary supplies in case a little accident comes up. Other hygiene and bath products will also be most appreciated, like baby lotions, powder, wipes, soaps, towels, cotton buds, etc.
Baby clothes. There are a lot of cute baby clothing available in shops almost everyone—including the Internet. When buying baby clothes, just be sure to choose something that would not be too difficult to put on and to take off. Too many buttons or too many snaps, for one, may prove to be quite a hassle for the parent and for the baby.
Baby books. Just imagine all the precious moments spent reading to the child!
Baby toys. While the parents will probably still sort through which toys are appropriate for their newborn and which are not, it will still be very helpful to choose something appropriate yourself. Be mindful of the baby's safety when picking a toy—whether it's a something for teething or a cute stuffed animal.
Baby's washtub and a yellow rubber ducky. You can also include bath items and towels with these very thoughtful gifts.
Baby scrapbook or album. While the craft may not be as popular as it was in the past (due largely to the advent of digital photography), scrapbooking is still a good, tangible way of keeping wonderful memories of the baby.
Baby bottles. Feel free to include baby formula, a tipper cup, and maybe even a brush set for cleaning up.
Diapers. You may think that diapers are extremely cheap or tacky shower gifts, but any parent would surely appreciate these. Diapers are in fact a huge help for first-time parents. As a nice twist, you can also try giving diaper cakes. Basically, these are just beautifully arranged diapers that are mixed with other baby products, like powder, soap, wipes, etc.
