What are Trollbeads?
The idea of wearing beads and charms has been part of many cultures worldwide for thousands of years. Tapping into the unique human spirit and creativity, Trollbeads began in Denmark in 1976, and were the very first in this concept of charm beads. In 2005 this new and artistic jewellery started entering into the UK and Ireland. But, what exactly are they?
Who invented them? Created by Lise Aagaard, she and her family still own and run the company from Denmark to this day.

What are they made from? Trollbeads are beautifully crafted from different materials. Some are made from pearl, silver, gold, amber and precious stones. The most popular material for Trollbeads is stunning glass from Italy – made using a technique called lamp-work. Where can you get them? Up until 2005 Trollbeads were limited to those that were lucky enough to discover them in Copenhagen. Since then the magic has spread all over the world.
