Exploring Dublin
Dublin, the capital of Ireland was originally a Viking settlement that evolved into the Kingdom of Dublin and following the Norman invasion became the island's primary city. Dublin Castle was built in the 12th-century to defend the city. Today, only one tower remains from the original construction. However, within the castle complex, you can see later constructions such as the Royal Chapel, the State Apartments and the Portrait Gallery.

The Irish Museum of Modern Art is a 17th-century building surrounded by expansive grounds. It has Ireland's most modern and contemporary works. The Trinity College was founded in 1592 in the centre of Dublin. It is Ireland's oldest and most prestigious university.

Take a tour of the storehouse that starts with learning about the founder at the "Arthur Guinness Story" exhibition and ends with a sample of the "official" best pint of Guinness at the Gravity Bar.
The Phoenix Park is the largest enclosed urban park in Europe spread across 1,700 acres. It has a sports pitch, a zoo, formal gardens, bird sanctuary and the President's official residence.

It is home to the Design Centre which stocks clothing by leading Irish and international designers as well as several antiques shops selling predominantly jewelry, but also collector's items such as silverware and portrait miniatures.
