The Boston Celtics are once again in the playoffs. They want to play the best when the games start. They were very good last Wednesday night. Paul Pierce scored 27 points, Kevin Garnett added 20 and Rajon Rondo had a triple-double in Boston won a postseason spot with the Denver Nuggets 113-99 win. It was the fifth win Celtics in six games and started a streak of six games at home, if they are only 22-12, worse than the 24-13 road record.

Boston has been a strong road team this year. The Celtics could have had some rest at least some teams because many of them participated in the weekend of the Stars, but this veteran team still had plenty of rest and relaxation. Kendrick Perkins is questionable for the game after bruising his left knee during the victory over the Warriors on Tuesday.

The Celtics have a rock solid defense, and also shot the ball very well from the floor. Boston has the field goal shooting percentage of the best NBA team in 49.4%. Paul Pierce draws the ball better than ever and is a team that seems determined to return to the NBA Finals.

The Denver Nuggets finally got rid of Carmelo Anthony. It's almost a refreshing to be able to stop listening to rumors about Carmelo every day! Now is the time for guys like Felton, Gallinari, Mozgova, and Chandler made his debut in Denver. JR Smith will be a game time a little more, and Nene will pick up his offensive production in the absence of both Anthony and Chauncey Billups.

The Nuggets are really hard to play well on the road this season. Denver has lost five of their last six games away from the Pepsi Center, and are just 3-6 away from home for the season. Denver is just 3-17 in the last 20 trips to Boston, so it's great performance in the course of time to withdraw from the Nuggets win tonight. Carmelo Anthony of Denver is to get it going. Anthony is averaging just 19 points per game over the last four, and you just wonder if he plays up to its potential, or simply trying to get out of Denver before the season is over.

Boston still has the big three key player, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, each of which began in 2010 season on a mission. Boston is ready to play for the NBA play-offs.
